TL;DR Creators: Brand Terms

These terms cover using TL;DR Creators to find, brief and book creators. You agree to them when you create a brand account. They apply to your subscription and to every booking you make.

1. Who we are

TL;DR Creators is run by TL;DR Brands ("we", "us"), a marketing agency. We run a vetted marketplace of UK creators. You ("the brand") use the platform to post briefs and book creators to make content for you.

Creators are independent. They are not our employees and not yours. We vet them, hold the money, and stand behind the process; we do not employ them.

2. What the subscription buys

£50 per month, paid by card, cancellable at any time.
It gives you access: posting briefs, browsing the creator directory, messaging creators, and running your bookings through the platform.
It does not include any creator's time. Every booking is paid for separately.
Prices exclude VAT where VAT applies.

3. What a booking costs

When you accept a creator, you pay the creator's fee plus a 20% service fee, charged to your card at that moment.
The full figure is shown to you before you confirm, every time. Nothing is charged that you have not seen first.
A creator may propose a higher fee than your brief. You see the proposed fee, and the total it produces, before you decide.
Product seeding briefs cost nothing on the platform. You send the product; there is no creator fee and no service fee.

4. What you get for the fee

On payment, you get **full usage** of the content the creator delivers: the right to use, edit and publish it, with no time limit, across your organic and paid channels.
Two rounds of amends are included per video.
Creators deliver within 5 days of receiving product, unless the brief says otherwise.
Anything beyond full usage is priced separately and asked for in the brief: the creator posting to their own channels, or running the video as a paid ad from their handle.

5. Product seeding

Seeding is a gift, not a deal, and we hold you to that:

The creator is under **no obligation to post**, and there is no deadline and no deliverable.
A gift grants you **no usage rights**. If they post and you love it, you may reshare that post on your own organic channels, and nothing more.
If you want to run their content as a paid ad, come back through the platform and agree a fee. Running gifted content as paid advertising without agreeing a fee is a breach of these terms.
You ship the product yourself. When you choose a creator and they give a delivery address, we show you their name and that address, and nothing else. Use it to send the product, once, and for nothing else: no adding to mailing lists, no contacting them off the platform.

6. Contact details and going around us

Creators join on the promise that their contact details stay private, so:

You will not see a creator's surname, email, phone number, social handles or personal links. This is deliberate and it is not a setting we can turn off for you. The one exception is a seeding booking, where you get their name and delivery address to ship the product (section 5).
Keep briefing, casting and delivery on the platform. Do not use the platform to solicit creators to work with you off it, and do not ask a creator for their contact details in order to do so.
Taking a creator direct is a paid option, not a trap. If you want to work with a creator you first met through the platform outside it, within 12 months of your last booking with them, you may, by paying a one-off release fee of £300 per creator. Once that is paid the relationship is yours to take direct, with our blessing. Working with them off the platform in that window without agreeing the release fee first is a breach of these terms.
The release fee never applies to a creator you already worked with before you met them here. If you had the relationship first, it stays yours.
We can see every message. We look when there is a reason to.

7. Briefs and moderation

Your first brief is checked by a human before creators see it. Once approved, your later briefs go live immediately.
We can decline or take down a brief. In practice that means briefs that are unlawful, misleading, unsafe, discriminatory in who they ask for, or that ask creators to make claims they cannot make.
You are responsible for your product being safe and legally saleable, and for your own advertising claims. Creators follow your brief; they do not verify it.

8. Refunds and things going wrong

If a creator does not deliver, tell us and we refund you in full.
If the content misses the brief, use your amends. If it still misses after amends, tell us and we will resolve it, by reshoot or refund.
Refunds go back to the card that paid. We hold a creator's payment until the work is signed off, which is what makes this possible.
We are not liable for how your content performs. Nobody can promise that.

9. If you stop paying

Cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.
If your card fails, you get 14 days to fix it. During those 14 days your briefs come off the board and you cannot post or book, but your account stays readable and any booking you have already paid for runs through to delivery.
Work you have paid for is yours whatever happens to your subscription.

10. Your data and creators' data

How we handle personal data is in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy).
Creator information you see through the platform is confidential. Do not export it, republish it, or build your own list from it.

11. Ending it

Either of us can close the account. We would tell you why.
Bookings already paid for are honoured through to delivery either way.

These terms are a plain-English agreement for using TL;DR Creators. They are not a substitute for a negotiated contract on larger engagements. We may update them; the current version and date are shown at the top.
